Shaltai Editions

Shaltai Editions is an experimental platform for artists and a reference point for art lovers, which specializes in those formats of artistic expression that merge together tradition and modernity, and mirror the technology-addicted time in which we live in – prints and multiples. Driven by an avant-garde enthusiasm for research and innovation, Shaltai Editions provides its artists with the possibility to exercise their unique vision of the world into the process of making a print or a multiple object. Each of Shaltai Editions projects starts as a challenge, as an experiment and a research on the process of making a work of art. The result is a complex statement in a simple form which reflects artists' fascinatingly sinuous way of thinking. At Cosmoscow 2017 Shaltai Editions presents the results of its three latest projects. Alexander Pozvner’s Antic Light sprang from his long-held desire to make sculptures with a 3D printer. Alexandra Paperno’s Rooms is her personal take on the exploration of the boundaries of visual metaphysics in lithography. Taus Makhacheva’s Sketches from Nature is the artist’s latest experiment, in which she studies the laws of regulations of the human body and its inner and outer levers, questioning how the body's several forms of purification travel in time and which form coffee made from beet recipes can take today. Artists showcased at Cosmoscow 2017: Taus Makhacheva, Alexandra Paperno, Alexander Pozvner.
