The Heritage Gallery was founded by art historian and collector Kristina Krasnyanskaya in 2005. Since 2007, the gallery has been located in the historic center of Moscow, on Petrovka Street. The gallery actively engages in exhibitions and educational programs, organizing lectures, round tables, and discussions. Heritage was one of the first in Russia to pioneer the collectible design niche. In 2011, it presented iconic 20th-century design figures in dialogue with rare masterpieces of 18th-century furniture art at the exhibition Dialectics of the Interior.
The gallery has held over 200 exhibitions, including at major museum venues. Heritage collaborates with the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Shchusev Museum of Architecture. Today, the gallery continues to promote collectible historical and contemporary design, while also working with 20th- and 21st-century art. The Heritage portfolio includes artists of the Russian émigré community, nonconformist artists, and contemporary creators from the post-Soviet space.
