The gallery was founded in Moscow in 1999 to represent a generation associated with the Moscow conceptual movement of the 1980s. Over the years, Pogodina Gallery has held solo exhibitions by artists: the Fourth Height group, Boris Stuchebryukov, Vladimir Kupriyanov, Olga Soldatova, Andrey Filippov, Konstantin Batynkov, Alexander Yulikov, Arkady Nasonov, Sergey Volkov, Boris Matrosov, and others. The gallery also participated in major thematic projects held in the State Tretyakov Gallery (“Art of the Female Kind” and “Not Toys”). Over the years, the gallery has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions, participated in domestic and foreign contemporary art fairs, and collaborated with charitable foundations and projects. The gallery’s direction can be defined as romantic conceptualism.
