The Miras Gallery was founded in 1994 in Ufa, Bashkortostan, together with the artists of the Genghis Khan group, one of the first private galleries in the city. In the Turkic languages the word ‘Miras’ means ‘heritage’. The artists with whom the gallery works represent a rich cultural cross-section of several generations, among whom are both recognized masters and young contemporary artists, whose careers are supported and developed by the gallery.
Miras is a member of the Russian Association of Galleries. Since the 1990s, the gallery began to actively represent Bashkir artists at art fairs, and now Miras is an active participant in such contemporary art fairs as Cosmoscow, blazar, Kontur, Scan Fair, etc. In 2016, the Miras Gallery organized and held an international symposium on stone sculpture. As a result, the alley of modern sculpture ARTTERRIA appeared in Ufa, which became a point of attraction for residents and guests of the capital.
The Miras Gallery is actively involved in exhibition projects and the formation of private and corporate collections and also attracts the attention of collectors and patrons. The gallery’s task is to form a local art market, to establish a bridge between the artist and the viewer, and to present worthy art to the widest possible audience. The gallery regularly hosts lectures, tours, and creative meetings with artists and curators.
