Tōmo

Tōmo is Russia’s First Contemporary Ceramics Gallery. The name Tōmo comes from Japanese, meaning “friend,” reflecting our philosophy of connection. Our mission is to support ceramic artists by showcasing their work and fostering their professional growth. We strive to establish ceramics as an independent art form, introducing audiences to contemporary ceramic art through diverse techniques, forms, and materials.

The space is divided into two areas: a gallery and a workshop. The exhibition hall hosts solo and group shows by leading ceramic artists, offering visitors an immersive experience in ceramic art. The gallery also features a bookstore curated by the Lobby team. The workshop provides full-cycle ceramic classes—from concept to creation—equipped with all necessary tools, including a 90-liter kiln. We also offer classes in sculpture, contemporary and experimental painting, and life drawing for adults and children.
