Miras Gallery

Miras Gallery was founded in 1994 in Ufa, Bashkortostan, in collaboration with artists from the Genghis Khan group. It was one of the first private galleries in the city. ‘Miras’ means ‘heritage’ in Turkic languages. The gallery's artists represent a rich cultural cross-section of several generations, including both established masters and contemporary artists whose careers the gallery supports and develops.

Over its 32 years of existence, the gallery has changed locations and assumed various forms. In the 1990s and 2000s, the gallery actively represented Ufa artists at the international art fairs Art Manege and Art Moscow. In 2024-2026, the gallery participated in contemporary art fairs such as Kontur (2024, 2025) in Nizhny Novgorod, blazar (2024) in Moscow, Scan Fair (2024, 2025) in Krasnoyarsk, Cosmoscow (2024, 2025) in Moscow, Atrium (2025) in Yekaterinburg, |catalog| (2025, 2026) in Moscow, and Oberton (2025) in Moscow.

The gallery’s projects include the creation of a documentary film about the Genghis Khan group in 2021, the publication of catalogs of works by gallery residents, collaborations with museums, and the 2016 international symposium on stone sculpture, which resulted in the opening of the Artteria alley of contemporary sculpture in the center of Ufa
