HIDDEN PLACE

HIDDEN PLACE is a Moscow-based gallery founded in March 2021 by gallerist and curator of emerging artists’ projects Natalia Kalmykova. The gallery works with both established and promising emerging talents. Our mission is to discover new voices and introduce outstanding contemporary Russian artists to a wider audience.

The gallery’s concept is rooted in the idea of artistic freedom and a refusal to be confined to any single style or movement. HIDDEN PLACE presents a diverse range of contemporary art, supports artists working across different genres and media, and seeks to create a space for dialogue between various artistic practices.

Since its founding, the gallery has organized more than 50 solo and group exhibitions featuring Russian artists. HIDDEN PLACE also hosts a lecture program and a reading club. Throughout the year, the gallery presents a wide range of educational and cultural events, including lectures, panel discussions, art brunches, and dinners dedicated to art, cinema, literature, fashion, and design.

Collaborative and group projects are an essential part of the gallery's program, bringing artists together and fostering new forms of creative exchange and interaction.
