Three years ago, I was looking for a meter-by-meter space to open a gallery there, but I couldn’t find one. I found a 4x4 meter space and opened my own mono space. You can sit there and listen to stories about the drawings and look at them, climb a ladder to the ceiling, or eavesdrop on the guards because the place is right next to the checkpoint. You can also call my studio from the store using a local phone. I’ve managed to create my own phone network. From the studio, you can call the bistro Cazaban, and from there, the bar Wöd, and from there, the consignment shop Newnow, or the home of a collector who bought a phone like that along with a drawing. Each of these places has something of me.
