13th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair will be held in Moscow in September, 12-14

Cosmoscow fair will host 99 galleries and will take place in the Russian capital on September 12–14, with preview on September 11. Following last year’s practice of introducing the international gallery section, artworks from 3 galleries from India will be presented as a special "COLLECTORS" project at Cosmoscow. Over the years, the fair has become a center of cultural interaction, where artists, collectors and experts from all over the world meet.

Cosmoscow International Fair is the largest contemporary art project, which forms the art market in Russia and is inscribed in the international art calendar. The fair was founded in 2010 and has been held annually since 2014. In 2019 Cosmoscow became the first Russian institution to be included in the Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market report, which covers the most important art events in the world.  In 2024, more than 50,000 people visited the fair, which shows its importance and popularity among locals and tourists.

This year, the fair will increase its exhibition area to 15 840 square meters by spreading over two floors of the Timiryazev Centre. Guests will see 101 galleries and 20 partnering booths, 12 non-profit cultural projects, and a special India Platform project. The educational and discussion programs of the fair will take place at the lecture hall and media lounge.

Cosmoscow maintains its status as a curated art fair, which involves a special approach to forming its program. As usual, participating galleries will be divided into sections based on their specialization. The MAIN section will feature both young and well-established galleries with their own exhibition spaces. FRAME will bring together galleries that do not have permanent spaces and operate in a showroom format or online platform. The EDITIONS section will include galleries engaged in dealing with prints and multiples, while DESIGN will showcase galleries working with collectible design. Projects aimed at developing infrastructure, education, and communication in the field of contemporary art, as well as increasing interest in collecting, will be presented in the NETWORK section.

This season the fair will present works by contemporary artists from 99 galleries, with 16 of them participating in the fair for the first time, 25 representing Russian regions, and 3 displaying foreign art.

Cosmoscow 2025 guests will be able to see works by Anya Zholud shown by PA Gallery; Alina Pinsky Gallery will present works by Evgenii Muzalevsky; the Marina Gisich Projects booth will feature works by Dmitry Gretsky & Eugenia Katz; Agency.ArtRu will present a group booth with pieces by young authors and a solo booth with works by established artist Sergei Shutov; and MYTH Gallery will showcase the works of Cosmoscow 2025 Artist of the Year, the PROVMYZA art group.

The fair will bring together key art industry projects from different corners of Russia and the world. Among this year's new participants are the Society of Contemporary Siberian Artists with works by Buryat author Amgalan Rinchine; Art Object Gallery from Vladivostok will present works by Alexander Zlotnikov; ES Gallery will come to Moscow from Kazan with works by Ramin Nafikov; the Moscow Triangle Gallery will present works by Chinese-born artist Yirui Fang; and KRASSKY GALLERY debuts at the fair with works by Italian architect, artist, and designer Vincenzo de Cotiis.

The Cosmoscow program will also be complemented by non-profit projects, including Cosmoscow Talks discussion sessions, art initiatives from foundations and leading cultural institutions. The exhibition space will feature collaborations between brands and artists. The stands will serve not only as showcases for unique works and innovative ideas but also as platforms for engaging with audiences, fostering cultural dialogue, and supporting interest in contemporary art.

Cosmoscow will present an additional program offering participants a unique opportunity to attend artist meetings, thematic lectures, exhibition projects, and educational events.

Press accreditation for the 13th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair will open on August 18, and ticket sales will begin on August 14. You can apply and purchase a ticket on the fair's official website.
