Gallery 21

Gallery 21 was founded in 2010 by Ksenia Podoynitsyna. It is an exhibition space located in the center of Moscow and presents works of contemporary artists. The gallery is oriented toward the art of the future, which is why it exhibits new Russian names and provides new opportunities for the Russian contemporary art market. One of the gallery's main goals is to teach how to understand the language of the contemporary art as well as help viewers understand the philosophy of young artists.

The “art of the future” implies art that has deviated from the standard visual image to the sphere of semantic effects, inducing the work with peculiar meaning. Gallery 21 introduces Russian contemporary art to the global community.

The gallery's founder believes that Russia has vast artistic potential and is an inseparable part of the global art scene. The gallery’s strategy helps cultivate a new intellectual environment attracting artists as well as audiences starving for intellectual development. Such synthesis forms a new convolution of aesthetic discourse in the informational eld of contemporaneity.
