pop/off/art gallery

Pop/off/art is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Russia. The gallery represents not only Russian artists (including those who live abroad) but also the number of international artists with a focus on post-soviet space authors of Eastern and Central Europe. The gallery is included in top-5 Russian galleries (according to Forbes magazine) and in top-500 world galleries (Blouin Artinfo).

Pop/off/art gallery was founded by an art historian and curator Sergey Popov in 2004. Since 2011 the gallery has been located at Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art – the main gallery cluster of Eastern Europe, the center of Moscow cultural life. In 2012-2014 the gallery had a space in Berlin. In 2015 the gallery moved to Winzavod’s biggest space, designed by architect Alexander Brodsky.

The gallery represents artists of several generations – from acknowledged contemporary art masters (Eric Bulatov, Igor Chelkovski, Rostislav Lebedev), to the leaders of today art scene (Irina Nakhova, Olga Chernysheva, Anatoly Osmolovsky, Vitaly Pushnitsky) and to the rising stars (Andris Eglitis, Ivan Plusch, Ivan Novikov). A number of the artists work with various media. Works by all the gallery’s artists are included in various museum collections all over the world. Most of the artists have been awarded national and international prizes, many have participated in key recurrent exhibitions (documenta, Venice Biennale etc.)
