Re:collection is a new direction for Crosby Studios to develop furniture and decorative items for day-to-day use in private and public spaces. The series will include cushioned furniture, storage systems, wallpaper, textiles, lighting and small decorative items. The bureau will also present its collection of carpets. The series is based on the already well-known design language of the Crosby Studios developed by its founder Harry Nuriev. Re:collection means recollections. Nuriev's childhood memories served as a source of inspiration for the design of the Re:collection furniture and accessories. The combination of Soviet furniture, folk art, and southern architecture helped to form Nuriev's taste and plastic language which became the visual basis for the new direction of Crosby Studios. The artist refers to the style of the collection as Russian minimalism and new avant-garde. This time, the interior items will be made in series. Some items will be mass-produced. The collection will see updates in models, colour treatments and an addition of new items. The bureau plans to open its showroom in New York in 2018 and in Moscow in 2019.
