‘Heritage Gallery

Located in the historical center of Moscow, the ‘Heritage International Art Gallery has been active on the Russian market for more than seven years. Kristina Krasnyanskaya — art historian, curator and collector — founded the gallery.

The gallery’s name reflects the goals that were set when it was founded — the main area of its work was to return a forgotten part of Russia’s cultural heritage to the country. This is the art of the Russian emigration, art that due to historical events left the country. One of the biggest projects in this area was a retrospective exhibition of Andre Lanskoy, which effectively served as a first introduction to the artist’s works for Russian audiences; a solo exhibition of Boris Grigoriev in the State Russian Museum and the State Tretyakov Gallery supported by the Heritage Gallery; and a Russian expressionism show dedicated to the gallery’s fifth anniversary.

In 2011, the gallery opened a new department which deals with decorative and applied arts. Since 2012 the ‘Heritage Gallery has become the one and only regular Russian participant of the Design Miami / Basel international design fair. In 2015, together with the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture the gallery opened the eminent exhibition Soviet Design — From Constructivism to Modernism: 1920–1960s. The gallery also supports selected contemporary art projects.
