Vellum Gallery

Vellum Gallery is 20 years old. The range of art objects includes works by non-conformist artists and Russian classics of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The major selection criterion is the highest quality of works. A unique collection of the 60’s artists’ works (A. Zverev, D. Plavinsky, E. Neizvestny, D. Krasnopevtsev, V. Yakovlev, O. Rabin, Y. Sooster, etc.) is supplemented by works by avant-garde masters and artists from the Russian diaspora (A. Exter, D. Burliuk, A. Lentulov, P. Konchalovsky, A. Shevchenko, A. Lanskoy and others). The classics of Russian art (I. Shishkin, V. Polenov, V. Surikov, I. Levitan, M. Nesterov and others) coexist with the canvases of the Union of Russian Artists (V. Byalynitsky-Birulya, S. Zhukovsky, N. Krymov, P. Petrovichev, L. Turzhansky) and works by members of the World of Art and Blue Rose groups (V. Borisov-Musatov, L. Bakst, N. Sapunov, P. Utkin, M. Saryan, A. Benois and others). More than 80 exhibition projects were held at the partnering venues: State Russian Museum, State Literature Museum, Museum of the East, MOMMA, Russian Academy of Arts, Museum of Moscow, Ryazan Pozhalostin Art Museum, Murom Museum of History and Art, Rostov Kremlin Museum, Pereslavl Museum, Lev Tolstoy’s Yasnaya Polyana Museum, Marc Chagall Museum (Vitebsk), Chersones Tavrichesky State History and Archaeology Museum and others.
