Anna Nova Gallery was founded by Anna Barinova in St. Petersburg in 2005, and is currently one of the leading galleries in Russia. The gallery works with Russian and foreign artists and curators, creating bold and innovative projects in the field of contemporary visual art. In fifteen years, the gallery team has held more than a hundred exhibitions and participated in more than twenty art fairs.
This was the first gallery to organize an open call for young artists, Nova Art Contest, in 2006, and since then is constantly in search for new names, the future stars of the artistic world.
Since 2007, the Anna Nova Gallery regularly participates in the most important Russian and international contemporary art fairs, such as Vienna Contemporary, Art London, ARCO Madrid, Photofairs Shanghai, Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair, RA&AF, Cosmoscow.
Aside from exhibition activity, the gallery performs an educational function organizing lectures, meetings, workshops, film screenings. Anna Nova Gallery aims to create a platform for communication between artists and curators, professionals, collectors, and people who are interested in the development of contemporary art.
