Fragment Gallery

Fragment Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Moscow and New York. The gallery is focused on promoting artists regardless of their age, gender, nationality or race. Artistic practice of most of them ties around issues of the modern world, from social and economic to political. The gallery was founded in December 2016.

The gallery actively works to develop international cooperation. In 2020, the gallery pioneered the first gallery-sharing initiative in Russia called Open Circle, featuring ‘The New (Sur)Realism’ exhibition. Despite challenging times, the first exhibition was held in Moscow connecting five galleries: Temnikova & Kasela (Tallinn), Raster (Warsaw), Capsule (Shanghai), Lubov (New York) and Fragment (Moscow). In 2021, Open Circle II will be presented in the Fragment gallery space as part of the Cosmoscow official VIP program.

In addition to exhibition activities, the gallery regularly hosts an educational program. Annually, international open calls for artists and curators are organized.

Exhibitions and fair participation of the gallery are regularly featured in international press, such as The Art Newspaper, Artforum, ARTNews, Financial Times, Forbes, etc.

Fragment is a member of New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA). In September 2021, the gallery will participate in the Liste Art Fair in Basel.

Artists presented at Cosmoscow 2021: Lisa Ivory, Matina Grlić, Alexander Shchurenkov.
