ARTMOSSPHERE

ARTMOSSPHERE is a platform aimed at deep study, development and promotion of street art in Russia. It is a part of ‘Urban + Art’ programme launched by Winzavod Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art.

By initiating exhibitions, festivals and other cultural activities that involve street artists, offering a fruitful environment for self-realization, self-growth, promotion, and integrating authors in creative projects, ARTMOSSPHERE is moving to its next mission, to make a global promotional platform for street art. The platform has opened many new names and talented artists due to intensive collaboration in various projects.

Breaking the stereotype of street art as a decorative and marginal art, ensuring its legitimization in the Russian art context through demonstration of the diversity of forms and genres and entering the field of global contemporary art is another important aim of the Winzavod ‘Urban + Art’ initiative.

ARTMOSSPHERE Biennale is the first and the only Biennale in Russia welcoming street art artists. It was held in 2014, 2016 and 2018, the 4th Biennale is announced for spring 2022. This project is also unique in a world-wide context, as ARTMOSSPHERE is the only street artists exhibition in Biennale format.
