PRO ART’S Gallery

Founded in 2018, PRO ART’S is the first gallery of contemporary art in Kaluga. It is a part of an independent art institution — PRO ART’S contemporary art space, where a gallery, theater, library, restaurant and coffee are located on three floors of an 18th century merchant warehouse.

The project’s mission is to perform the role of an “entry point” in culture through the presentation of contemporary art; the formation of a new local art stage embedded into the whole system of contemporary art processes.

Art exhibitions, performances, spectacle, readings of plays, concerts — all these events regularly take place at PRO ART’S. In the drama lab creates its own plays and also conducts tours of theaters from other cities. The educational program includes lectures, forums and meetings with prominent art figures. PRO ART’S is the initiator and organizer of the annual interdisciplinary contemporary art festivals.

The PRO ART’S Gallery presents contemporary artists working in the field of contemporary art with various media: painting, graphics, sculpture, object, photography, video-art. The programme of exhibitions at the gallery is aimed at analysis and presentation of modern artistic practices, promotion, and popularization of contemporary visual art in the region, as well as the formation of the local art market.
