VLADEY

VLADEY is the first contemporary art auction in Russia founded by collector and entrepreneur Vladimir Ovcharenko in 2013. The auction earned a great reputation among artists and collectors and became a top-ranked art market expert since then.

Twice a year VLADEY conducts evening auctions in autumn and spring, curated auction (where the art pieces are selected by guest expert) and One Price sale (where starting bid for all lots is €100) – the type of auction which is innovative in the world practice. The average percentage of works sold at VLADEY is 75%, which is a very high result that meets world standards. The art pieces of 250 Russian artists have been sold during the three years of work – for most of the authors it is the first auction result.

VLADEY auctions are notable for full business transparency. The auction specialists select the works with clear and proved provenance. VLADEY auctions are broad- casted live, so the buyers could bid from any part of the world.

In September 2016 VLADEY introduces new Artist of the Week program. For the whole week VLADEY’s virtual (website, social media) and real (VLADEY SPACE, catalogue of the works) spaces will be dedicated to one artist. Launching this program, VLADEY sets ambitious tasks — establishment of contemporary Russian artists’ fan clubs and popularization of the best examples of contemporary Russian art.
