Roza Azora Gallery

Roza Azora Gallery was established in 1991 shortly before the failed coup that led to the collapse of the communist regime.

The gallery was founded by artist Yelena Yazykova, future director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Marina Loshak and TV producer Lyuba Shaks. The gallery has since regularly taken part in the Art Moscow fair and the Moscow Biennale. It has also staged a series of exhibitions in collaboration with leading Russian museums including the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Russian Museum, the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, the State Literary Museum, the State Museum of Oriental Art and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

Roza Azora has emerged as one of the most active representatives of Russian contemporary art. Over the last two years, the gal- lery has organized some 30 exhibitions.

The gallery works with such artists as Maria Arendt, Andrey Bartenev, Alena Kirtsova, Marina Koldobskaya, Pavel Leonov, Andrew Logan, Ivan Loungine, Natalia Nesterova and Ivan Yazykov. It provides young undiscovered artists with a chance to exhibit their works and also has a tradition of hosting established contemporary classics working in various art forms
