COSMOSCOW VS COVID19

Dear Friends,

As we write, the world is facing a very difficult situation and we wish you all the best of health and wellbeing. We hope that the measures being undertaken in different countries to slow down the spread of coronavirus will bring positive results, and we will be able to return to a normal life again and do what we love.

You can all appreciate that we are writing from the isolation of our various home-offices scattered throughout Moscow and Europe. These times have inspired us to work harder than ever to deliver you the 8th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair.

For now, we intend to keep our announced dates. We plan for Cosmoscow 2020 to be held on September 11–13 at our beloved venue the Gostiny Dvor in the historical centre of Moscow. The Preview for collectors and professionals will take place one day before on September 10. We should announce our program and a list of the participating galleries in June.

Reflecting the global situation, we are keeping our finger on the pulse and consulting with our exhibitors, partners and other stakeholders about staging the fair. If necessary, we will be ready to postpone our dates, as your health and safety is of utmost importance. In that situation we will inform you immediately about changes; and promptly communicate the best alternative. Nevertheless, we look to the future with optimism.

As the whole world is making a necessary transition to online modes of transmission and commerce (and everyone is spending more time looking at online content) Cosmoscow is doing the same. We are developing improved online resources, which we hope are both convenient and enjoyable to use and will be launching extra digital functionality in the weeks and months ahead. A special online program awaits members of the Сosmoscow Art Collectors Club.

In due course, we will announce the dates of our annual Cosmoscow Foundation Off White fundraising auction, which will be enhanced with new online capability. And we will also inform you about the education and collecting courses currently being produced for video streaming.
